Hollywood , California , 28 May 2007--- By now , the American public and media has found out that I was sentenced to the county jail HYPERLINK "http /www .lasd .org /divisions /correctional /crdf /index .html \t "_blank " Century Regional Detention Facility (CRDF ' for 45 days for violating my probation . I ignored the fact that my license was suspended and continued to drive . In addition to this , I was sentenced to Alcohol education as part of

my probation however I never bothered to attend any classes . I am to report to a women 's jail in Lynwood in the next few days or face 90 days behind bars

I regret the entire event and feel that I have failed my family friends and fans all around the world . I am saddened by the bad-girl persona that I have presented to young girls . I will start alcohol education and will not take my entire time in jail frivolously . I am not in any way walking away from my shameful actions or claiming innocence or using my celebrity status to get away from this mess

I take laws seriously and do not feel they should be tossed away . I feel a strong responsibility to the American public and want to set a good example on youngsters . I want to sincerely apologize to all those hurt by my previous actions . I am trying my best to change and become a better person . I hope that people will forgive me
