Roosevelt , or more commonly known as FDR , is one of the most notorious US Presidents and this is not really surprising since his economic policies and diplomatic relations from his first (- ) to the third term (- ) were unusual . What puzzles the most is that if Roosevelt is indeed conservative , an isolationist and liberal as most people label him . To answer this , there is a need to investigate his economic and diplomatic maneuvers from his first term to his second and finally his last term , which covers mostly that of the World War II ?severe case of unemployment rates ) and homelessness . During his first term he established the following programs (1 ) Federal Emergency Relief Administration (2 ) Civilian Conservation Corps (3 ) Reconstruction Finance Corporation Expansion (4 ) Agricultural Adjustment Corporation (5 ) National Industrial Recovery Act (6 ) Securities and Exchange Commission (7 ) Public Works Authority , and (8 ) Tennessee Valley Authority . Some would say that his first Movement was what would most Presidents do had they been in his position but his economic tactics were almost ruthless and sometimes damaging to civil and economic rights . He single-handedly maneuvered the US depression to a lower threshold capacity but in the process he gained a lot of enemies among of which are the Conservative coalitionist party that finds his radical economist schemes too ``unconstitutional ' Much of his projects entailed federal spending and there was budget reduction /cutting for... |
