Let 's focus our attention on the majority of the population in South Africa , the Blacks . The Blacks have experienced great discrimination throughout the history of South Africa . But the greatest discrimination that the Blacks have experienced in their history is the Apartheid . What is this apartheid ? Apartheid was a system of racial segregation enforced by the National Party South African government from 1948 to 1994 Apartheid started from the history of settler rule and the colonialism of the Dutch and British . The groups are as follows : Whites , Blacks , Colored , and Asian Under Apartheid , the Blacks suffered stripping of their citizenship . The Apartheid government segregated education , medical care , and other public services with inferior standards for the Blacks .
