Chauke 's PowerPoint presentation is a very brief and concise presentation intended for persons who are involved with projects of the government of the Republic of South Africa (2007 . It is designed to discuss the overview of the government 's projects , particularly those that are related to the generation of renewable agency . In particular the goal is to raise an awareness regarding the need for serious consideration of the adoption of cleaner alternative consumption of

energy , with a view towards preventing environmental problems such as global warming (Chauke , 2007

The presentation has both good and bad points . It is good that the content of the slides itself was simple , brief and concise . Even the font type employed was the classic Times New Roman . Thus , the message intended to be imparted to the audience can be sent clearly , without risk of distraction from unnecessary objects

However , the simplicity of the presentation was achieved at the expense of substantial presentation of data . The presentation simply served as an outline which seriously needed follow up from the speaker , otherwise the audience would not be able to derive useful information therefrom

Visually speaking , the presentation is likewise lacking in impact , as the only image employed by the slides was something that appears as a logo of the agency involved . No visual instruments were used to assist the words that express the message . There was also no attempt to provide animation , which could make the presentation attractive to the eyes

These missing elements badly impaired the effectivity of the presentation , as it appeared very uninteresting and inadequate in terms of preparation
