Advertisements of today benefit from the latest technologies , which provide them a new set of tools , to help them bring out the cutting edge advertisements . Sometimes advertising can be very powerful and hard hitting , while at other times it can be uninteresting and ineffective . Advertising can turn ordinary

For advertisements to be effective , it is important that they have relevance to the target audience or intended group . The advertisements should reach the right intended people because at any point of time , only those people would be interested in the advertisements , who have some kind of relevance to the product

One of the internet advertisements that caught my serious attention was a water purifier `Pureit . I found it in the site HYPERLINK "http /www .hllpureit .com " www .hllpureit .com , which I believe to be a product of Unilever , launched in India . The fact that the product was not available here did not deter me from going through the entire advertisement . I was so engrossed in it that I decided to analyze what made the advertisement look so appealing

A water purifier advertisement 3 The advertisement featured an attractive stylish water purifier with a glossy burgundy and transparent exteriors , with the logo on the top . The water purifier stood in good contrast to the blue background . The right side of the blue background had a couple of pictures of kids drinking water from glasses and also pictures of a mother , either alone or with the kid . The pictures kept changing like in a slide show , but all the pictures revolved around the idea of children drinking water in the presence of their smiling and content mother . The pictures of kids drinking water gave a sense of confidence on the performance of the purifier . The mother only seems to be very confident of the quality of water , her child drinks . In the face of it , a casual glance of the advertisement projects the entire purifier with its graceful looks and its happy users . Between the water purifier and the picture slides , the advertisement has a `Pureit ' logo and a changing caption . The changing caption highlights the important features of the product like it is the most advanced purifier in the planet , requiring no electricity , gas or running water and has no virus , bacteria or parasites . The captions are attractive , succinct and eye pleasing . A scroll bar provides the helpline number corresponding to the important regions for any enquiries or demonstration . The bottom of the advertisement has a yellow b on which other locations ' details run from right to left
