Population and Ecology

Population and Ecology

All organisms , whether humans , plants animals or any kind of microorganism , had lived with a group for at least once in their lives Most of these organisms stay and live within those groups , in which members are of the same species as the others are . These groups live in specific territories or habitat . They have always greatly affected their environment and resources because of diverse interactions of these species with their habitat as well as with other members of their group or society

A population is the set

of all the organisms that belong to the same species . A population does not necessarily mean that the members all live in the same vicinity or area . One population may be composed of organisms living in different areas but would fit the criteria to be a member of the particular species population . No population can survive only on its own , because it still needs the presence and help of other populations of other organisms

Because organisms live within a particular environment , and that they are part of that environment , populations can and do affect a certain ecosystem at a certain period of time . When one population increases significantly , other populations within the same area will be affected .For example , with the increase of people who drink milk in a certain area , there would be a greater demand for a population of domesticated animals that could produce quality milk . And because of that , there would be a greater demand for grazing lands , because most milk-producing animals are grazers . With the greater need for larger grazing lands more people would be pushed to live in the urban cities , meaning there would be greater population densities there . Larger population density would mean higher demands for physiological , economic and social needs Also it would entail a higher concentration of pollutants because of the high usage rate of mass produced products

The most controversial and most dominating population of organisms is the human population . They have not dominated in terms of numbers because they are definitely less than the microorganisms . But because of the fact that they have technologies that are far advanced than any other organism in this planet can have , they have in a way controlled the environment and the fates of other populations of organisms

Technology has been a big debate for some time now . It was claimed to be humankind 's greatest advancement in advancement itself . Although it had helped humankind to adapt , survive , and explore even in the harshest environments known , it also did some very destructive effects to the environment and also to it 's the future generations

One of the greatest issues that came up with regards to the increase of human population is its effect to the environment and to how the environment would be able to sustain every human on its land . Thus , with the question of sustainability , the question of existence then follows Because of this , homeostasis of the environment is being

The human...
