Pollinators in Decline

With the current decline of food production in societies worldwide there is an effort to create a consensus to create solutions and practices to alleviate the problem . One program involves creating solutions to pollinator declines . Due to the relative contributions brought about by pollination to several food products , there must be increased awareness and practices that will efficiently and effectively further the cause

Looking at the problem

The decline of pollinators in the past decade has been attributed by experts and scientists to various factors . Though there had been developments

in technology for agriculture and food , it also has created negated results particularly to the main contributors of pollination insects (ESA , 2006 ) A variety of troubles threaten the pollinators Endless waves of development destroy nesting and feeding grounds pesticides decimate them along with other beneficial insects (CNN 2000 . All these effects threaten the biodiversity and create devastating results not only for insects but also for the whole ecosystem

Facilitating changes

An important factor to consider involves the realization that such issue does not only happen domestically . There must be a global consensus of the need to create solutions . At present , there is not enough information available to predict the severity of the ongoing disruption to pollinator activity , yet the potential for significant and irreplaceable losses of biodiversity through cascading extinction is very real (ESA , 2006 . Seeing this , there is a need for enhanced information campaign and program development to address the situation By creating these practices , only then proper solutions can be facilitated and encouraged among communities and societies . In the end the active collaboration among different parties can enhance solutions accordingly and effectively (Speers , 2006
