the Isthmus made it a meeting place of North and South American cultural
current .
By 1840 Costa Rica through John Kioyd Stephens started its coffee
industry which soon was stimulated by high prices that prevailed

because it has to buy more genetically modified foods . More to that it
has to important agricultural products that have been modified by
scientist elsewhere in order to fit its cold climate . Since the cost is
always higher than normal economic growth and development is often
slowed down .
Migration and reproduction is another factor affecting Costa Rica due to
global warming . This is not only affecting the people 's natural
inhabitants but also to a large extent . It 's affecting the daily
economic running . This is because the change in climate is already
responsible for the extension of over 110 species of frogs ' That
means human being are shifting to such better standards of living which
lowers rate of productivity . On the other hand , natural species are
dying bringing tourism sector to an end of not lowering the income
earned from the sector .
