Racism and the Police Culture

In the audit made of the Metropolitan Toronto Police Force , it is shown that the police culture that exists produces a division that is created between two particular groups that are intended to produce racism through police culture (last name of author 188 . This aims to provide insights and information from relevant literature in to explain the relationship between racism and the culture

that exists within the police force . It intends to provide a critical understanding of the two concepts

Diversity is considered to be an important element in the police force and remains to exist within and outside the sphere of the police force (Kazarian , Crichlow Bradford 4 . Within the police force , there exists a range of cultural groups inside the police force as trends of globalization have made the merging of different cultures easier . It is an inevitable phenomenon that is taken into consideration by the police force especially so that there are already legal statutes that enhance the diversity in the workforce and bans on the discrimination of people on the basis of their personal characteristics . Outside their spheres of organization , the communities to which they serve are also diverse that lend them to adjust to the different cultures being dealt with as they carry out their assigned responsibilities
