Pneumatology
Pneumatology The Holy Spirit is a Person There are very strong evidences in the scriptures that corroborate the facts on the person of the Holy Spirit despite the horde dissenting views by certain groups . The first mention of the Holy Spirit occurs in the first chapters of Genesis where He is attributed the trait of a person as depicted by His movement over the formless earth . It is well understood that an impersonal movement tends to be in the direction of the propelling force , that is , either the object moves northward

southward , eastward , e .t .c at any given time as defined by one of Newton 's famous laws of motion . However what is obvious in the case of the Holy Spirit is an intelligent movement over the chaos on the earth (Gen1 :2 )this intelligence depicts strongly His Person .A further analysis of the new testament accounts given in 1st Corinthians and in the second chapter tells us more about His person .Based on His personality ,He is able to teach which further suggests that He must be knowledgeable .The word He ' and not It ' used in the Bible in the referencing the Holy Spirit speak volumes too in this regard (John 16 :13-14 .Further characters exhibited by the Holy Spirit includes guidance and conviction (John16 ) intercession (Rom8 :26 ) miraculous deeds (Act8 :39 )e .t .c
The Holy Spirit is God
When the Lord Jesus was about leaving this world for heaven he told his disciples comfortingly that he would send them another 'helper in the person of the Holy Spirit (Acts1 :8 ) the term another ' indicates the deity of the Holy Spirit more so when observed that Jesus Christ did not start his ministry here on earth until he had been filled with it an empowerment that only a God-person can produce .It is also on the record in the new testament that there are three persons that bear witness in heaven ,namely :God ,the Father ,Godthe Son and God ,the HolySpirit-This statement is enough to put to rest all questions about the Godship of the HolySpirit
The Work of The HolySpirit in conversion and Regeneration
The salvation or conversion of an unbeliever may be near impossible without the input of the Holy Spirit . This is because both the Father and the Son are right now in the kingdom of heaven . With God on his everlasting throne and Jesus on his right hand it leaves the Holy Spirit as the only member of the Godhead present today on earth (Acts7 : 55-56
One of the duties of the Holy Spirit is to convict the world of their sins as exemplified in the books of Acts . Apostle Peter who was previously timid but having being emboldened by the Holy Spirit preached an explosive message that led to the conversion of three thousand souls (Acts 2 :36-41 ) An unbeliever who feels a prick in his /her conscience about wrongdoing is in actual sense being convicted by the Holy Spirit .On conversion...
