Name University Course Tutor Date Introduction Rapid economic growth and development in the last 50 years has brought countless benefits and cost to urban dwellers in both developing and developed nation . As a developed country hosting most livable cities Canada has found itself with a fair share of intensified urban development . This project report shall highlight the effects of urban development in Canadian cities , including past challenges and future ones that will have to be addressed . The report shall further consider the input from various stakeholder bodies

involved in various processes of ensuring best practices of balancing different interests . The report is divided into four distinct sections dealing with specific issues : the first section identifies positive and negative side effects of the development the second section discusses the stakeholder bodies involved in making decisions regarding urban development , they include developers , property owners , politicians , government planners , and the wider international community . The third part deals with the new forms of sustainable urban development , whereas the last section provides future outlook to the challenge of urban development in Canada
