In the 21st century despite the advancements in aviation technology accidents still occur . A closer examination will reveal that accidents in the airline industry can be attributed to pilot error and mechanical failure . But experts are saying that the incidence of accidents not attributed to mechanical failure and substance abuse is growing . This leads to the conclusion that pilot error and pilot fatigue is the main reason for the said accidents . There is therefore a need to raise the level of awareness regarding the pilot error and pilot fatigue that will

There are airline passengers whose knuckles will turn white upon take-off and they will grip their seats tight when the plane is about to land . Experts would like to assure frequent flyers that there is nothing to fear because the accident rate is negligible and that it is very safe to use airplanes as a means of transportation .
