Upon the education of the people of this country , the fate of this country depends ' No Through the process of education every aspect of a person 's life is cultivated and developed . The pedigree of a nation therefore , does not solely rely on the progress of its language , but also on how well educated its inhabitants are . A culture filled with uneducated individuals will eventually bring about its downfall Mediocrity begets destruction and chaos . the world , many scholars and great thinkers have formulated concepts on how to successfully instill knowledge into a person . They came up with countless opinions about the best educational philosophy . The great philosopher Plato believed that skills and talents are non-genetic . Everyone , therefore , has the capacity to become great and influential with proper training . He was the very first person to realize the fact that education is equal to survival . Aristotle and Socrates also believed that education is the key to attaining success and harmony . All who have meditated on the art of governing mankind have been convinced that the fate of empires depends on the education of youth ? Aristotle believed that only through education can people truly become virtuous and good citizens . Heraclitus of Ephesus , Thomas Aquinas and the Sophists are just some of those who contributed in one way or another into the development of the philosophy of education These great minds have paved a brighter way for future generations to easily educate themselves and develop their skills and talents to their fullest potentials

In the modern era , those ancient concepts of education have been developed into concrete philosophies by some of the brightest minds Jean Jacques Rousseau , John Dewey , Rudolf Steiner , and Jean Piaget are some of the geniuses behind the advancement of the philosophies that current educational institutions are adopting . They are the thinkers who examined every aspect of the development of the mind and the factors that need to be considered to successfully aid its growth . They conducted experiments , investigations , and assessments to determine which theory works the best . They evaluated these theories , based on scientific methods , and came up with their own interpretations . Basing on these interpretations they formulated lasting philosophies of education- the framework of the future
