The Island : Ethical Analysis

In the film The Island , there are several aspects which exemplify ethical egoism , moral relativism , Aristotelian ethics , Kantian ethics and utilitarian ethics to name

a few . These ethical approaches provide different ways to analyze the moral issues in the movie which may conflict with one another . While these ethical approached may vary in many ways , they do however offer a broader picture of the ethical issues involved in the movie which , when not looked into , may limit our ethical analysis

Ethical Egoism

The film 's story revolves around the life of clones of the wealthy and the prominent individuals in the society . These clones were raised in an obscure location far from the urban landscapes of the society , and giving them the impression that the outside world has already become extremely contaminated that human beings can no longer bear to live there . In effect , the general awareness of the clones is that they are unique individuals who live in what they understand as the only habitable place in the planet

The more important observation is that the clones in the film were created out of the demands...
