This business plan represents a comprehensive internal strategy to assist in addressing the areas of opportunity currently not being explored in to improve internal business operations . This strategy depends on cooperation from all departments within Pfizer 's organizational structure . The five essential components of this plan are organizational structure , financial strategies , operational framework , vertical integration and diversification . Strategically partner with leading companies to increase brand awareness and market share through the Internet , accelerate and refocus its pipeline and exploit new opportunities for global growth , and develop a public policy for the regulation and use of its products
Downsize departments where technology can perform the duties , invest in technological advances that determine market trends so development of new products can be proactively pursued , and enhancing the implementation process to allow more products to be developed at a faster rate
Diversify product line by entering untapped treatment areas , create multiple avenues for growth by offering these new medications , and increase the effectiveness of advertising and extend patent expirations
The next step is to develop a detailed implementation plan setting priorities , then assessing the potential alignment of proposed action steps with the interests of all involved , adopting short and long term time lines , and formulating feasible approaches for evaluation
