In the field of business marketing , promoting the wants and preferences of the customers is one of the most effective ways to market a certain product . Through using the interest of the consumers , one can actually make a product more appealing and desirable in the market producing better acceptability thus , making more profit . In this aspect , marketing managers employ different strategies and approaches to determine the interest of the consumer as this will be the basis of the effectivity of the product

Consider for example the business of

selling fitness equipment over the internet that would also include fitness-related advice and tips about the said matter . To make the business more desirable for the consumers the business proprietor must incorporate the preferences of the customer by offering personalization and customization approaches . For example adding up a feature in the website that offers personalization of the fitness program to suit the schedule and the desire of the consumer Also , modifications and adjustment can also be offered that promotes the target fitness area of the customer . Another is the customization of the fitness equipment regarding some minor details such as color and design to make the machine more suitable for the customer . In addition offering a service in the website that project the physical outcome of a fitness program over a period of time through photograph manipulation and rendering to show the consumer the possible outcome of their fitness regime . With this , consumers can personalize their fitness programs and the equipment they want to use to promote the outcome that they wish to achieved . These are only some of the ways that a website intended for fitness advices and sale of equipment can do to gather the preferences of the consumers and incorporate them in their systems . With this , the proprietor can make his or her business more desirable in the market producing positive results to the productivity of the business
