Personal statement to get an internship

Applying for Internship

I am applying for an internship position in your organization . I am a student at Ohio State University majoring in Dietetics

From September 2007 I worked in the campus cafeteria in the service department where I gained skills in the food service and safety . My hard work and dedication earned a promotion as a student production supervisor in March 2008 where I interacted with the other students managers and the chef . Working in this position gave me the experience in food handling and helped in polishing communication skills and

br engaging in team work

Currently I am working at the University Extension 's Family Nutrition program as a student worker , this position has exposed me in matters relating to the nutrition , food management and acquired information concerning food

I have worked as volunteer with YWCA where I was helping the children and also in the Ohio University Hospital Nutrition Department where I learned issues pertaining to health and nutrition

Through enrolling at the Emerging Leadership Program at the college I have learnt skills in leadership and management . These skills have helped me as International students orientation leader in the school academic year 2008 /9 .I am also the secretary of the Hong Kong student organization in the university where I organize the group activities and report writing

I am a hardworking student always ready to give my best in whatever I undertake . I work on my weaknesses and capitalize on my strengths to deliver the best results . I have greatly improved from the low grades which I scored due to the problems I was experiencing last year . I am fully focusing in pushing my grades to the highest level

I believe the experience and skills I have gained will help in giving the best services in your organization and at the same time learn from your establishment . I will be glad to use the experience gained to offer my services to the community as a registered dietician . I have a passion in helping others and would like to extend my services to those suffering weight problems
