The very first thing that came into my mind when I read Pablo Neruda 's Horses was the very idea of overcoming or surpassing a great challenge Neruda was very naturalistic in his way of describing the theme and the objects of the poem (Neruda , 2004 ) However , on my part , I did not really perceive the poem as something very naturalistic or very objective towards nature and the likes . I was more moved by the poem by its metaphoric character

p Horses were objectively described . The way they stood . They way their eyes expressed . And the way they were depicted having relationship with their surroundings . On the other hand , I took horse as symbol of a great test (with reference to the poem

I relate the poem to my everyday endeavor . Whenever I am faced with big problems , dilemmas and have difficulty in making decisions . In connection to Neruda 's poem , I saw great opportunity and at same time perceived obstacles and complications . However , despite all those impediments I came up with a very rewarding decision . And it was worthy .Though after I gave up on that `joining-an-organization-thing ' I was really upset and discouraged that I almost wished to turn back the time and choose the other one , I recognized that great challenges require great effort , time and grand decision-making . They are like horses that ask for someone who can tame them only that not anyone can easily ride on and tame them

Well , my experience was not really hopeless . On the contrary , it motivated to fight and strive for what I want . The bottom line is that reach for it...
