Personal Statement

As you go through life you are given pieces to your personal puzzle then one day you have so many pieces put together that you start to see the big picture . The rest of life 's journey is seemingly spent putting the pieces together so that in the end we can get a clear depiction of oneself . Seeing the puzzle come together and showing us Life as one led it . This is the story of Brian , and how the pieces of the puzzle came together to form his life

Brian was an average

kid with average parents . Everything he did was normal for boys his age except that he did not seem interested in physical activities . While the other kids were roughhousing and learning to play backyard football , he was in the basement of his family home busily scribbling in his notebook . You see , Brian had always had an overactive imagination . He often found himself daydreaming during school breaks or observing people . In his mind , he was pretending to be listening in on their conversation and giving them dialogs . So when he was in the basement , he was writing down not only his personal thoughts he was also writing short stories based on people and places he had seen and been to that day

His cousins used to make fun him because he was more into the arts than they were . It did not hurt that Brian often won awards for is paintings and sculptures while keeping his grades in decent brackets . As they grew up , their interests also changed and slowly , they began to get involved with Brian 's activities as well . They could not understand why Brian enjoyed writing those stories so much and putting them in the short skits when he presented it at family parties . But since they all enjoyed the play acting , nobody complained . After all , everyone has a natural talent just waiting to be discovered

During his personal development as a teenager , Brian turned to music for comfort and stability . It was a strong driving force in his life that ranged from the classics , to modern pop . He taught himself to play the electric guitar in the hopes of better expressing himself . Something about music puzzled his emotions . He found that music allowed him the freedom that ordinary speech could not provide . Just like when he was putting on family skits as a little boy , now he found himself composing music that was the background of his lyrics . Music was an art form that was also like story telling only with more flair for the dramatic because a person 's voice can show more emotion than any facial muscle ever can

Brian 's interest in sports came late in his young life . Maybe it was because he had so many questions about himself and his surroundings He chanced upon a martial arts class in his school once . He got so engrossed in the fluidity of movement and discipline of the students that he decided...
