First Day At New School

It is a matter of fact that it is difficult to every person to get acquainted with new unfamiliar things , jobs and even people . Some people are afraid of getting new job and their first working day at new place whereas others are afraid of new school and new friends . Actually , I belong to the second category . It was difficult for me to adapt to new school because I didn 't know the language well and I belonged to another culture , but now when I remember that day

I always smile thinking how amusing it was . I was sure that the more difficulties existed between culture the more difficult to find the common language . I thought that people had different tastes and interests and I had to match them Despite my personal fears , I was ready to enter my new class

The first thing I came across with is that practically nobody could pronounce my name , because was unusual for their culture . The same was with me . I was really anxious and disappointed as I couldn 't remember student 's names and misspelled them all the time . I started to think that students disliked their freshman . Consequently , many people calling me the newcomer . However , in a couple of hours I revealed that people were so happy get acquainted with me , simply because I was newcomer from another world , and eventually , I even started saying , Hi , I am freshman . I 'm from another country ' every time I introduced myself . My new friends asked to tell about my country culture , family and friends . Moreover , they told me about theirs and I realized that they were the same students as I was and nothing terrifying happened . When returning home , I was smiling

The most important mistake I avoided is the idea that we live in society where people are judging others all the time . First impression is considered one of the most important things in a job interviews . Our society always pressures us to be accepted in to succeed in future career and personal life , but now I am sure that new school is the best way to make friends with interesting people . Nothing to be afraid of
