It has often been said that the true measure of a person can be seen through her deeds . I feel that I am no different in that I am a woman of action but more importantly a woman of compassion . Since I was young , I naturally learned the importance of sharing and helping from my parents . They motivated me to consider the sharing and helping as the most basic privileges of my life . I was greatly motivated by the bibliography of Albert Schweitzer and Florence Nightingale . These role models have greatly influenced my

As a doting mother of two , I realize that there are many personal challenges that I must face in life . I have come to a point in life that many people have not . I have made a firm decision to recommit myself to pursuing my dreams . While there are those who believe that with an ounce of luck and a ton of persistence anything can be accomplished , I believe that there is no reason to expend so much energy and rely on luck . I believe in taking hold of my destiny and carving out a future for myself based on the decisions that I make in life Life is simply too short and too precious to be left to luck alone
