Marketing is an interesting field as one has to use every creative means to reach out to prospective customers or clients and sell the products or services being offered by a person or an organization (Gummesson , 2002 . Besides my interest in dealing with a lot of people I am interested in the business of selling ideas , product and services to people . This is the reason behind my decision to take up Marketing in the University of East London . Through my studies and training in the University , I managed to improve

my skills , gain grounding on the theories and practice of management . These knowledge and ideas have further enhanced the knowledge I already have in business administration . Surely , the Marketing degree I am taking in the United Kingdom will add up on the Diploma on Business Administration , which was awarded to me in Vietnam

Reflections on My Educational Experience

In general , I am satisfied with the performance I have shown in taking up this academic degree . I have given the best that I can in meeting the requirements and the projects I have with the courses related to my degree . Although there are moments that I really had to force myself to work on some of the more difficult tasks , in the end , I managed to get through . Hence , I have learned that excellence is not only about intelligence it is also about discipline and motivating myself to perform and finish the tasks assigned to me

My performance , however , is not excellent all the time . There are moments that my emotional state and the level of my skills are not enough to fulfil the role expected from me . Yet , I do not usually ask for assistance when I do not understand something . Rather , I wait till the last minute before I ask for help . As a result , I could not give my best in analysing the problems and really becoming excellent with the work I am doing . I should stop this practice and learn how to ask help long before the might have will be clarified , thereby enabling me to do things more successfully

I have to start reading carefully about trends and issues in the world that are related to marketing and business administration . This will enable me to be aware of what is going on in the business world and help adjust my expectations and my lifestyle accordingly . This is crucial because in business , I have to be able to anticipate what will occur to minimize negative impacts and maximize positive ones

Where I am Going

The question of my own directions has been a long answered problem for me . In

Vietnam , my father is running a medium-scale business that produces and exports electric generators . As a member of the family , I recognized it as my responsibility to help my father in his endeavours in making this business work .
