in which the tasks can be performed in a better manner . Besides , the goals are also set and the monetary benefits may be increased depending on the previous performance of the employee . The process of judging the employee and evaluating his or her work does not exclusively lie with the supervisor , but includes other stakeholders including the customers , managers , employers administrators , peers , subordinates , customers , etc . The information utilized in the performance appraisal process should be accurate relevant , reliable , practical , easy and fair . The employees should be actively involved in the evaluation process . It should be more constructive in nature and efforts should be on in preventing condemning the employee for errors . Rather than that , efforts should be on in determining ways of improving the quality and standard of work . The staff member should also be ready to receive feedback or else , the appraisal process would have no meaning .
