INTRODUCTION

Even as the steady march of civilization has entered into the space era the significance of research on human perception has risen to a newer rank , because the power of perception is considered to be guiding engine in every human endeavor . Thus this greenroom of human activities remains at the center of attraction through all ages . It is here the humans set their do-s and don 't-s list , after

arranging and assessing all the stimuli from all possible places and the governance of that list , or say , a personal engine , makes its mark through the actions of its owner It is this engine that at times become the victim of stereotypes , or at times looks out of the box and brings out an amazing solution for a seemingly irresolvable problem . Thus this essay peeps into that human greenroom and weighs its elements , before concluding with the idea that quality of perception determines the quality of all human actions and subsequently , the outcomes , which makes it the real key to success

Factors that Play Within

There are several factors that influence an individual 's perception where the intake and usage of each element vary from person to person thereby making each individual perception unique on many grounds However , even in this personal chemistry , certain stages are certain to take place in every individual like , Selection , Organization and Interpretation , just like the beginning , middle and end of a story that comes out as a unique account of the elements it has dealt in the process

Selection

This is much like pick and choose process , where an individual directs her /his attention to a specific stimulus out of the flurry of many . It so happens because of the situations existing both inside (human experience ) and outside (the stimuli ) the person

The outer situations evolve out of the stimuli including its backdrop Here it is the assembly of elements that qualifies for selection , by enticing the human to pick it . However , the inward condition of the individual has to recognize those elements first and then to appreciate their assembly

The situations within a person influence him /her to simply the information , for which the humans tend to select the stimuli which are either fully or in part seem to be decipherable at one go . The philosophy works behind this act is usually to add information in an already clustered branch of information for easy processing in the future , or to open another cluster of information related or supplemental to any other such clusters . This is what stereotyping is all about . It is because of this practice humans tend to equate one individual with another by virtue of one or two common traits in them
