The first company is Safety Mint (UK ) Ltd . It is a family run company that was passed on from one generation to another . The founder , Samuel Mint , established the company in 1902 as a manufacturer of steel shipping containers . Today the Mint family , as represented by Samson Mint , who is also the current President of the company , owns 70 of the shares . While the other 30 is own by three separate entities likewise represented in the Board of Directors
Safety Mint still continues to operate in the same way they did in over 100 years of existence . Very minimal changes in processes and procedures have been adapted , including management style and human resource practices . There are several issues that need addressing that are virtually overlooked because of the stern defiance to change by both leadership and employees
Docklands Solutions Ltd . is the second company discussed in this Founded in 1997 , this 10 year old company is an expert in computer software and securities technology . Tony Adabayo is the self-made founder of Docklands Solutions . He commissioned five other colleagues to start this first generation company . Docklands Solutions has since then grown from 6 to 150 employees in its short history
The leadership of Docklands Solutions recognizes the value of employees to growth of a company . In business plans and strategies , employees are considered equally important with customers .
