Clinical Log : Pediatric Outpatient Clinic

Introduction

This is pediatric outpatient clinical nursing log . In this log , I will describe the patients I have attended and cared for in one day in the pediatric outpatient clinic . Consequently , this will comprise of the notes regarding multiple patients that I attended during my duty . In this log , I will also explain briefly the clinical rationale of my care to each patient including any incident that I had to take special care of

Clinic

In our hospital , the pediatric clinic has huge patient inflow

, and during my work , the clinic was very busy . There are only three chairs in the clinic for the patients to sit . However , during the clinic , of these chairs seemed vacant for a moment . The clinic appeared like a revolving door , which continued to go on and on . This means there were no moments for me take a breath due to continued presence of the patients that I had to attend . This also means I was so pressed with time , sometimes I felt that the time given to each of these patients was hardly adequate for his or her care in the outpatient setting . Only one reprieve was there that of these patients were acute , and therefore , despite time constraints , there was no noteworthy incident or crisis that can be reported here
