o How did you interpret the problem

In this exercise , there were several problems . The first was to get all the three animals to the other side of the river . However , only one animal could be transported to the other side in the boat at

one time and the cat and the mouse or the dog and the cat could not be kept together . The cat could eat the mouse if kept without the dog , and the dog could eat the cat if kept without the mouse . Since an issue lies with the cat , it would be ideal to transport the cat across the river first (only one animal can be sent across the river on the raft at one time

The cause of the problem would be the cat . Once the problem has been defined , and its implications understood , it would be ideal to look out for various options that may be utilized to solve the problem and accordingly pick up the most appropriate or suitable one . Once the dog is got to the other side , the cat is taken along , and the mouse is brought Then the raft is sent across the either side and the cat is brought along . The manager has to be flexible whilst solving the problem , to encounter any issues that may arise during management of the problem

o Did you encounter any obstacles while solving the problem
