As an individual who gives emphasis on the value of academic determination and exposure to life science and its many aspects that provide relevance to the welfare of mankind , I believe that securing an education in the field of microbiology and molecular genetics can be considered as a definite step toward achieving my desire to further understand man 's relation with his environment . My appreciation for microbiology and molecular genetics occurred to me when I was still young . Back then , I was always fascinated by the plethora of information that can be derived by studying animals , plants and man . Likewise , I was always thrilled with the capabilities of living organisms , whether small or big . Being able to see microorganisms behind the lens of a microscope has proved to be a one of a kind experience for it brings one to a different dimension that cannot be expressed just by merely looking .
