Overcrowding in American Schools
The problem of overcrowding of our nation 's schools will not be solved over night . Neither does it seem that the problem has reached its zenith as it is surely a reality in the coming years that the problem will become worse . Illegal immigration has added greatly to the overcrowding of our nation 's schools and in states a such as California and Illinois the problems are expected to increase at an exponential rate . This leaves administrators , parents , students and a concerned public frustrated at how to fix the problem and alleviate the

unnecessary stress which prevents teachers from teaching and students from learning Building more schools , dividing the school calendar into semesters and implementing year round school are some of the programs which have been implemented in to combat this problem , However , at least in America 's major cities such as New York City , Los Angeles and Chicago the efforts have not been able to reverse the tide of neglected schools In to fully understand the problem of overcrowding in America 's public schools , an in depth look at three of the nation 's public school systems and subsequently , some of the most crowded . The Chicago , Los Angeles and New York City Public School systems are overrun with an elevated roll , under funded schools and an influx of illegal immigrants which have only compounded the problem . This is the problem that the nation now faces . Millions of students who come from these cities as well as cities and suburbs all across the nation , arrive at the doorstep of hundreds of universities , only to spend their entire first year taking remedial classes in to learn in one year , what ideally , they should have learned during high school . In Los Angeles county , not students are coming to class , when they are able to come to class , in make shift desks and school rooms which , in to no stretch of the imagination , does not yield itself to an advantageous learning atmosphere . The Los Angeles Public School system was studied as well in to study the problem as it relates to all of the major cities in this country , from one coast to another . This is the reality of the problem and it is not until absolute and effective measures are to be implemented and a lasting ability for our schools to yield to the student , the best possible chance of acquiring a quality education . This study will be concerned with research questions attempting to understand patterns of relationships among variables and suggests...
