As the article suggests , companies are already utilizing this tactic and reaping rich rewards like Nike . The reason I agree with this is statement is that the world is becoming increasingly competitive due to technological advances which has made this world a global village . If a company tries to concentrate on the entire process from A to Z , it is bound to be get average result since a

company can only do so much . For today 's and tomorrow 's company , average will not be good enough since foreign competition with better skills will eat them out . Hollow organizations are more adaptable to providing services rather than producing goods since their business structure revolves around managing and not creating . Since services require the management of resources , hollow companies are better suited to take command . Also since hollow companies hardly have a setup , like services they can be offered or controlled from a remote location without doing physical work , a characteristic of a virtual organization .
