Jobs in the United States are becoming harder and harder to come by as factories closed down and manufacturing and support work is transferred to foreign countries that offer cheaper rates in terms of employment salary and raw material purchasing . The main issue I have with this practice of constantly outsourcing jobs is that by doing so , we end up neglecting our own local industries and taking away jobs from equally if not more qualified local workers

Admittedly , businesses stand to earn more profit by sending

the work that needs to be done overseas . It helps foster professional relationships between countries and allows for a constant exchange of ideas that help to improve and further enhance workman capabilities for the host country . But have these companies ever truly stopped to consider the serious repercussions of their outsourcing business decision on the economy of the country that they call home

Companies that run from an offshore location supposedly sees an increase of 45 to 55 percent in their profits . This is gained by the company because of the lower operating costs that allow the products or services offered by the company to be sold at a lower rate than if the same where done within the USA . Such outsourcing procedures highly benefit the manufacturing industry because of the cheaper importation costs that the companies have to shoulder . This results in a drop in the sale price of the item that translates into more earnings for the company . The question now becomes , will people , whose jobs were taken away by the outsourcing of jobs , have the money to purchase such items and services ? The answer to this question is quite obvious . No , the people no longer have the same buying power as before when the product was made here . When people can no longer buy the items or services offered , this will result in an economic downtrend for the country

After having thoroughly researched this , I have come to the conclusion that outsourcing is a process that benefits only the U .S companies engaged in the practice . While the larger slice of the benefit pie is eaten up by the host country . Why do I say that ? I say this because America has what is becoming an alarming unemployment rate as workers continue to lose their jobs without having other employment options available as the factories and customer support centers move overseas . The freedom to practice free trade is one thing . Practicing free trade to the detriment of your native country 's labor force is another thing . Why would anybody willingly kill the workforce of his country ? Are we not all a part of this work force ? Do we not all exist in a symbiotic relationship that requires us all to do our share of work in for this country to survive ?
