According to researchers the organizational culture within the police force is one that is characterized by brutality and harshness (Coady 2000 . This is a view shared by the outside world . However other characteristics that are seen to be dominant and to form part of the police culture include strong bonding among colleagues so that activities are done by use of teamwork as opposed to individual work This culture has also been said to be male dominated where the greatest percentage of police is that of me as compared to women .
