The first one is Donald Soderquist through his book entitled , The Wal-Mart Way ' who was the former Vice-Chairman and Chief-Operating-Officer . The other resource person is Michael Bergdahl who had a chance to work directly with Sam Walton and was an employee of Wal-Mart , serving in an executive function . His book entitled , What I Learned from Sam Walton : How to Compete and Thrive in a Wal-Mart World ' is both a behind the scenes look while the same time offering a view from the outside offering a counter-balance to an often exaggerated view of Wal-Mart fame .
