This is a case study that is depicted from Austin March law firm , which is one of the largest and prestigious Philadelphia law firm . The study follows one of the law firm 's employee interactions with the other employees and also her practises within the organization in the process of trying to come out with the organization 's behavior . The organization 's behavior in an important factor which determines the organization 's performance because it is what that makes it unique when compared to other organizations . The organization 's behavior is likely to determine the employees relationships , exhaustion of abilities career satisfactions and team work among other issues which are certain to influence the organization 's performance

2 .0 Background

The addresses some of the organizational behaviours which are portrayed in the case study of Austin March Law firm . Some of the organizational behaviors which are analyzed in the included gender sensitivity , organizational dynamics , career development and promotion employees relationships and team work , career satisfaction , competition among employees , approach to solve clients ' problems , decision making to solve clients ' problems , and the effect of varied personalities in exploiting opportunities . 3 .1 Gender sensitivity

The Austin March law firm employed sixty four lawyers in which fifty-eight were men and only six were women , in the year 1990 . It can be perceived that the organization was biased in employing in the sense that there were more men in the work force than the women which implies that the organization is gender insensitive . The criteria in which organizations use to admit new employees is important in determining who joins the work force and these criteria are set depending on the firm 's goals and interests . The implementation of recruitment procedures which are gender insensitive like in the case for Austin March firm , implies that the workforce is uncertain to reflect the society in which the firm is operating in , otherwise one gender will be made superior compared to the other due to the social inequalities which are as a result of the criteria that is used to recruit new employees (Harris and Hartman 2001
