Without a shadow of a doubt , information and communications technology also known by the name computer-assisted communication technology has evolved into something more of a household thing than a phenomenon which was its tag just a few years ago . Grace and Kenny (2003 ) had reasoned that it has been an integral and indispensable part of organizations and educational systems ' Perhaps the most basic of all examples is the Internet , its arrival and the advantages that

it provides to all parties concerned . There operates absolutely no organization or firm today which does not rely on the Internet for a significant chunk of its operations , and the same goes for educational institutions

And again , because of the advent of the new approaches in project management and organizational management with the help of information technology and the ever-increasing complexity of situations both present and probable , changes in managing organizations were considered unavoidable . This is one of the many implications of computer-assisted communications technology . As stated by Halloran (2002 , 3 changes are rampantly being spread over companies in the world today to keep up with the demands of project management programs and the continuous innovations in IT ' One of those changes is the adoption of participatory management and the gradual elimination of the conventional hierarchical management . Such change is seen to fully utilize the capabilities of and maximizes the full potential all members of the workforce , for no one is confined only to one particular area a worker in a project management program under participatory management can help in all ways possible , in striking contrast with the attributes offered by the hierarchical management . In a hierarchical management , for instance , a supervisor is only required to oversee and supervise and nothing else , ignoring the fact that he surely have obtained knowledge in hands-on prior to his promotion as supervisor . Computer-assisted communication technology is perfectly suited for this type of organization management , and needless to say , organizational communication can definitely be bolstered by it . All of the above were effects of the advantages of computer-assisted communications technology , a sole endeavor which spawned so many implications

Giving it straight , computer-assisted communication technology further ushers in utopianism in almost all facets . Why ? If all probable maladies are keenly pondered and analyzed , there is not a single downside Organizational communication through computer-assisted technology can be the most superb one-two punch only if - the people who comprise the workforce are also perfectly trained
