The Caribbean people have gone through a great deal of trouble fighting off people who wishes to exploit and to colonize them . They did not allow other countries to stake claim over their lands in the same way that they struggled real hard in to keep other people from colonizing them completely . In fact , the United States of America had been one of those who showed great interest in Caribbean . Since a lot of other countries aside from the

Another point of interest is the fact that as tourists continually visits the Caribbean , their natives tend to migrate more and more . New York and Miami are example of cities wherein Jamaicans , Haitian 's , and Cubans always tribes . History would show us how Caribbean had been the constant center of outside influences . The Europeans for one tried to colonize people living in the Caribbean by imposing their rules and power on the land . Caribbean immigrants , as mentioned earlier , make up a large quantity of people living in the United States as well as on Miami . Their influences could be found in many ways such as their products , their foods , their music and the like . One may think that since the United States colonized the Caribbean it only follows that Caribbean natives adapted to the culture , tradition , and the like of the United States . However , I say that instead of a one way process the United states also adopted some of the Caribbean cultures and the cosmopolitan part of the United States such as the New York City is a good example for this claim . In trying to control the Caribbean , the United states and the Caribbean alike both became culturally interconnected

Slavery , African origin , they are but only some of the commonalities people living in Caribbean countries share . People tend to think that Caribbean people living in Caribbean (Afro-Caribbean ) and Caribbean people living in America (Afro-American ) shares a great deal of disparity and they have very little in common . However , I do not think that such is actually the case . Should fact be told , Caribbean people shares some ties that naturally binds them together . Thus , no matter where they are those ties still serves them with some kind of kinship and belongingness .
