This story shows how Oedipus is unable to escape his destiny which is brought on by a short temper , arrogance and rashness , which will continue through the story until ultimately it brings about Oedipus final destiny that was brought on , ultimately , by his own , terrible personality flaws . The rash confidence of Oedipus is displayed from the young king , and heightens to fear and frustration and then shows his ultimate despair

Creon was able to take away the throne of Thebes from Oedipus which adds to the sage of the story . This epic displays the brief existence of Antigone and shows the symbolism in Antigone and compares the womb to a tomb , which takes the story from the very beginning of life and living in the womb to the very end of life , when the body is placed in a tomb This symbolism runs throughout the story and generously displays an extreme of the beginning of a life and personality and ends with the tomb and shows how Antigone in the first part of the story is born and at the end of the story , dies
