The `Object of Rotary` in my Community

Service above self is the most worthy endeavor that any human being can extend . This undertaking is beyond the call of duty and embodies the full potential of man as he unites with others in thought , body and spirit . The humanitarian service is etched in the hearts of every member as he is one with the community and aims to make man whole . This is a calling of a true Rotarian in whatever he does and wherever he goes

At an early age , I have witnessed the programs and services of the

Rotary as I frequently accompanied my mother in carrying out the Rotarian projects in our community . I have participated in tree planting , distributing dictionaries to the grade 3 pupils , fund raising and in the flag project . Some to these activities are physically exhausting but the fulfillment of being part of the team that has contributed to environmental protection and in building a future for the children cannot be measured . My early exposure to community service inspired me to volunteer my services in various activities and projects such as rendering office work and data entry participating in the food and school supply drive as well as basketball , softball and cheerleading camp for kids raising fund to help shelter kids preparing thanksgiving baskets baking babysitting making duffle bags for foster kids and assisting in pharmacy work . I have served both the government and non-government organizations and agencies

My dream of pursuing a career in pharmacy was strengthened when I participated in a medical mission and assisted in distributing medicines to some patients . My desire to be a dedicated pharmacist was confirmed when I saw the role of a pharmacist in alleviating the pains of my father when he was afflicted with terminal cancer . When I become a licensed pharmacist , I would like to join the Rotary Club just like my mother and help the less fortunate people . I would also like to be a part of the non-profit medical clinic in our community that serves the underprivileged people who do not have the benefit of a medical insurance . In the practice of my profession and in the words that I say , I will be always be guided by the Rotary 4 way of test such as : Is it the TRUTH whenever I enlighten my patients on the benefits and effects of the medications Is it FAIR to all concerned when I treat all patients fairly regardless of race , socio-economic situation and health condition Will it build GOODWILL and BETTER FRIENDSHIPS when I show compassion and empathy to all my patients and will it be BENEFICIAL to all concerned when I prepare the prescribed medications with dedication and diligence and show concerns to the needs of all patients and their family members

With my passion and dedication to be of service to mankind , I will not only be a committed pharmacist but I will also be a true Rotarian in thoughts and in deeds...
