The National Democratic platform was crafted in such a way that the government will be able to renew the promise of the American dream--a world of opportunities , stability , fairness and success . The Democrats have the vision of battling the failures of the previous administration and restoring America to its place in history - a land of flowing milk and honey and a country which every American can be proud of and depend on

Obama 's platform on the other hand , centers on bringing back the power of governance to the people and restoring their trust to the government It demands for transparency , and accountability from the government and the provision of better benefits to the American people , regardless of race and political affiliations . It also aims of investing in quality education for the youth and the empowerment of women

Many controversies have arisen regarding the visions that Obama has presented during his campaign for the Presidency . Some of them were trivial enough to generate varied reactions from the public . However despite the controversies and triviality , most , if not all of the advocacies presented by Obama were embraced by his party . The Blueprint for Change , reflects Obama 's plan for America and the reforms that he wants to make in the prevalent legislations . Most of the contents thereof are also seen in the recently approved National Democratic platform .
