The client is the actual person or the user of the application program that transmits SIP requests . On the other hand , the basic server is the entity that provides data processing of those requests . The server and the client are in constant association and relationship . The server cannot function by itself without the client 's manipulation since the data input depends on the requests of the client

There are for different types of servers that act as the Network Entities particularly the proxy server , redirect server , user-agent server and registrar . The proxy servers are the one responsible for handling the data requests and regulates the translations . The over-all function of network entity is the whole brain-body of network connections . Without this , network servers cannot function since the brain of connection is not present
