Both the musical film Music and Lyrics and the romantic /drama movie of I Could Never be Your Woman appealed to viewers whose enchantment is into having to watch a light but good and entertaining movie . An analysis of the movies techniques , theme and narrative will manifests that although both attracted a somehow the same audience , their effect and influence to culture would spell comparison and contrast

love film Music and Lyrics is about the combination of a popular lyricist and a washed-up musician whose characters and lives took personal turns and eventually find their relationship developing into something serious . Directed by Marc Lawrence and starring Drew Barrymore and Hugh Grant , the movie presented the story of a charming Alex Fletcher (Grant , a has-been 1980s pop star who has been demoted to performing his nostalgic and old songs only at county fairs , children parks and occasional high school reunions . His charisma and musical talent were put into test by the sultry diva Cora Corman (Haley Bennett who asked him to write and record a duet with her . This sounds easy but for the fact that Alex has not written a song for so long nor never written lyrics . Now comes the brilliant but off-beat and not confident Sophie Fisher (Barrymore ) whose magic for creation of words strikes a chord and melody with Alex . Sophie 's unwillingness to collaborate with commitment-phobe Alex eventually resulted in a fine-tuned chemistry This is where the two will have to succeed in their fears if they want to have their long-find love and success they both deserve .
