As anyone will be able to attest to their own lives , I can likewise attest to the experience of having what you have always wanted , and others that you can even barely see from where you stand . It is one of those realities in life to have something you want and do not want There is no way around it except through it

But one should also consider the power of choice

and human determination . In Johnson 's novel Who Moved My Cheese , human beings were related to animals that bear the same characteristics . The four main characters of the novel represent the different actions and reactions what would have to face when challenges rise . More importantly , they represent a human characteristic that pertains to a certain cheese

It is not only odd to relate animals to human beings with such close resemblance . It also to pertain to Cheese not only as food of the mice and similar sized humans , but it also referred to the different goals man might have . It delivered the point of the author the best way it could be

While reading the book for the first time , you came to realize how applicable the little tale is to daily life . My interest , in particular was picked by the story when what they easily found was just as easily taken away . That was when I thought if they acted on instinct or coherent thought

Book Summary

There are four characters involved in the story . These are the mice Sniff and Scurry , and the little people Hem and Haw . These characters portrayed different personalities and actions of different people . They symbolized the different reactions a person might do when faced with similar challenges . Both pairs were given the challenge to find the cheese through a maze . What set them apart was that the mice had simple mind processes and the men had more complicated thinking

They worked very hard , waking up early every morning just to get on with their mission and find the cheese . Into the challenge , they were only met with small pieces of cheese that they could get by . But that was until they found a room full of cheese . They were not able to believe their eyes for having found the cheese and so many of it . With that , they sat by their found supply and ate all that they could . It was emphasized that the mice kept their shoes hung around their necks as they ate , while the men simply discarded their pair anywhere in the room

Almost by routine , they would go to that room to eat cheese every day Unfortunately , Hem and Haw showed signs of laziness with thoughts that the cheese will always be there . It would not have mattered if the routine they followed changed by being late
