It is an explicit representation of the purpose why an organization exists and why it is doing its operation as it is . As a declaration of an organization 's proposed activities , a mission statement is very significant since it outlines what is yet to be acted upon . It serves as a reason for an institution or organization 's existence . It is

sometimes referred to as a creed where shared philosophy and values serves as a handbook for employees to fully understand the organization 's principle and stand up to its ideals
