Microbiology/ Corynebacterium Diptheriae
Note : I am proposing this report but unless you have your lab manual uploaded , I can write a better report than this . Besides , you are only requesting a single page and double-spaced report . This will be good in at least 2 pages Purpose The experiment was designed to familiarize the students on the characteristics of common bacteria including its appearance form and other observable properties through the microscope Materials and methods A fixed smear of stained Corynebacterium diphtheriae was scanned and observed using a compound microscope . First the bacteria colonies

were located through the scanning objective . Once the desirable location is selected the microscope was adjusted to higher magnification . The oil immersion objective was finally used with the addition of one drop of immersion oil to the tip of the objective . Appearance of the bacteria was observed using oil immersion at 100x magnification . The observed bacteria was drawn in a clean
Data /Results
The bacteria are short rod type and are stained red in as it appeared in the oil immersion objective . They group in small and large clusters They sometime form a chain of two rods . The drawing obtained was at 100x magnification using oil immersion
Summary /Conclusion
It has been observed that the appearance of microorganism specimen Corynebacterium diphtheriae is a streptococci arranged in small to large clusters and are stained red . It can be better observe with the use of oil immersion objective or higher magnifications...
