Jackson and a Jury Focusing on Family Jackson and a Jury Focusing on Family The case

Pop Star Michael Jackson stands accused again of child molestation charges , stemming from incidents that were allegedly illegal at Jackson 's ranch . The accuser is the mother of a 13 year old boy and believes that Jackson touched her son inappropriately , gave him liquor and shared a bed with him . A previous similar case was settled out of court with money being given to the other accuser 's mother Unfortunately , the former case , although

settled civilly may poison ' the jury , as will Jackson 's unusual demeanor at times But there are factors that can sway a jury either way , looking at Jackson 's relationship with his own children and family and shedding light on the inconsistencies and issues surrounding the accusing mother

The facts that may sway a jury to a guilty verdict ? A previous case that is similar to this one , where Jackson 's settlement may make him appear guilty ? Jackson 's sometimes unusual dress and demeanor that will make it difficult for a jury to relate to him ? His notoriety , along the same lines , will make it harder for a jury to identify with him ? The fact that the boy can and will testify will make a jury very sympathetic toward the child

The facts that may sway a jury to a not guilty verdict ? If Jackson can show from testimony in his defense that he is a good father , it would be favorable to him ? If the defense can show that this accusation is motivated by money on the accuser 's part , a jury will see past all these allegations ? Along the same lines , Jackson must be presented as a victim ' in this case of extortion by an unstable and unreliable mother of the accuser ? Jackson should have other notorious figures to testify on his behalf ones whom the jury will recognize and possibly trust in their opinions ? As well , Jackson should be presented as a man , who never got to be a child himself , due to his constant part of the Jackson Five ' and traveling , etc ? Along these lines he should be presented as an adult child of abuse although not in the traditional sense-his lack of being able to BE a child should be formulated and re-stated throughout the case to show his predisposition toward being friendly with children and childish and immature himself , but not criminal

Jury Characteristics ? The jury should be selected on several factors parents should be avoided , as the sheer shock value ' of what they may hear could sway them negatively ? After de-selecting parents , men should be selected over women , as more women than men have been the victims of a sexual assault in their lifetime and could be biased in the hearing ? Men of wealth , who have been divorced , should prove good candidates as the may have been involved with litigation that cost them money , based on unfounded accusations

Psychological Experts ? The expert hired...
