Buddhism had its origin

in India from the 5th century BCE until the 13th Century CE when it literally extinguished from India due to invasions by Mogul and due to disciplinary degeneration in India . Tibetan recognised the 8th century Indian Padmasambhava as the nodal person to have pioneered Buddhism in Tibet . The Indian Buddhist yogi namely mahasiddha who was frequently referred as guru with the support of then ruling king Khri-srong Ide btsan [ 756-797] was able to inculcate and teach the most obscure of Tantric Buddhist ancestry to the Tibetan citizens what was turned to be the Nyingma or old school ' of Tibetan Buddhism . This ancestry was adjoined by the principal lineages in sequence namely Karma , Kagyu , Sakya and Gelugpa [Kadamba] .
