Meshes of the afternoon

Each one of us has a desire in our self . We have our dreams we have our own wishes and

likes . Our energy , our enthusiasm and our capacities are directly proportional to the

magnitude to which these wishes and likes are fulfilled . If and when one meets with

successive non-fulfillment of his /her wishes and likes , the individual loses his

enthusiasm , and energy . Tired of fighting to fulfill his /her desires he /she ultimately

commits the inevitable act : a self proclaimed death , or , a suicide

p `Meshes of the afternoon , made by Maya Deren , in 1943 , is a similar story of a young

lady , who is so full of wishes and desires , but her fate denies fulfillment of any . It is a

short film , which is full of frustration , disgust , despair and gloom . It is brilliantly

conceived and creativity is evident in each and every department of film making . This

The structure of the film is very strong and the sequences are well interwoven , that they

blend into each other very well . It consists of three main sequences . In the first sequence
