Medical Billing and Coding
Medical Billing and Coding The World Health Organization (WHO ) was established in April , 1948 with the aim of coordinating issues that relate to international health . The World Health Organization was established to make sure that all people in the world have /enjoy the maximum level of health that is attainable As a subset of the UN , WHO is saddled with the responsibility of monitoring and preventing the occurrence and spread of deadly diseases like AIDS and SARS . Apart from this , the organization funds researches on the cure for these diseases and monitors

the distribution of safe drugs to all areas in the world
The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC ) is an agency that was established in the US in 1946 and was to serve as a small subdivision of Public Health Sector . As an agency , it was meant to monitor the then deadly disease that affected the American Army during the war - malaria . However , over the years , its job has changed and it has become like a regulatory body that monitors issues that affect the health of the American people . The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention has evolved to be an agency that is concerned with any issue that is deemed to cause health problems for the American people
Making a comparative analysis of the two organizations , one will see that their job and responsibilities are almost the same - only that they operate on different levels . As the name implies , the World Health Organization deals with international issues while that of the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention deals with the prevention and cure of diseases that are within the United States
Recently , the results and research of these two organizations have proved helpful for the enhancement of public health in the United States . This is because it serves as a background to tackle the diseases that affect the American people . Thus , instead of starting their own researches , they build on the prior researches that have been done by the World Health Organization and the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention
