One of the main factors why a certain product is saleable in the market is the image of the endorsers that the marketers use to convince the target market . Most of the advertisements on television and pictures on billboards are images of tall and beautiful women with skinny bodies From diet products to car advertisements , most of media sources portray a sexy image of women

to persuade the consumers that the products are effective . However , some products use images of women to create subliminal messages while some just us women to get the attention of the target market or prospective client of a certain product or service

These images have powerful effects on the viewers or readers by setting a standard of femininity and definition of womanhood . The unrealistic images of women in media create problems not only to women who become the victims of this image portrayal but also the entire society which unconsciously gives a wrong connotation about women .
