For a typical student like me , the confines of the classroom become the venue of where knowledge about theoretical concepts is learned . Inside the four walls , professors laboriously provide us with an understanding of essential things which have been formulated in to make one more capable of managing a business organization . However , it is outside the classroom where we test the reality of what we learn . It is from our dealings with

our colleagues and the result of organizational decisions which becomes the final determinant of whether these theories can be applied in the real world

During the first months of the employment of this method , we have noted the increase in productivity of each worker as they specialize in their assigned tasks . Having been very d with the initial report , we have continued to utilize this approach However , problems have arisen after a few months when we have witnessed a high rate of employee turnover . After a series of investigation employees express their disapproval of the system because most of them are bored doing the same thing everyday making them feel that they are not growing individually . They feel like they are treated like machines with specific functions devoid of the opportunity to learn and apply new skills . Thus , Taylor 's scientific management might not work because of its inability to take into account the humanistic side of an individual . I strongly commend Maslow 's hierarchy of need as a very essential concept which should be applied in...
